WHAT MEANS FREEDOM TO YOU?

What means freedom for you

✨DEFINITION OF FREEDOM✨

Before I started to become a nomad, more than 6 years ago, I was working in agencies and marketing departments as a marketing manager. All my “work life”, I was working as a freelancer and never been really employed. Because I have been always quite autonomous and loved the idea to be independent and schedule my day to my work-life balance.

But to be honest? I was not free… …not in time. I had a full scheduled day and could sometimes not even manage my private life anymore. I had simply never time. ✨ …not in location. I felt often slaved to my office desk or spent time in meeting rooms all day without any fresh air and daylight, surrounded by cold concrete walls.

✨ …not from my soul. And this is the most important one: Even though I loved my job at this time and the variety of different projects and the connection to people, I started to feel tired and empty after a while. Because there was something missing. The purpose of my soul, the reason to be here on this planet, the connection to the higher source and my life force.

✨ It took me a while to understand this and until I eventually took action and changed something. I learned and studied A LOT in self-development, yoga, meditation, and spirituality, how to become happier, how to change my life, more fulfilling life balance and so on…

✨I started to TRAVEL MORE and WORK LESS. ✨ One day I humbled over the expression “digital nomad” and new this life will make me more independent, time and location wise. It would allow me to travel wherever I want, meet new cultures, places and make new friends, while I was working from my, laptop from everywhere.

✨ So I DID! I packed my bag rented out my flat for minimum one year and when on a long journey. I had an amazing time and everything I did was perfect. Sometimes it felt like a dream, too good to be true.

✨ BUT also this lifestyle has its good and bad sites. I still had to work for clients, for other peoples products, businesses and started to feel some resistance. And there it was again: The feeling of emptiness…

✨ Emptiness even in paradise? Yes! Because it was not the purpose of my soul. My soul was calling for more… …more true connection, …more personal fulfillment, …more things that I really love …more creativity and creation …more abundance.

✨ Once I started to create things for my own, I felt more alive and in flow with my heart, soul, and life. My inner and outer life seemed to be aligned.

✨ But just my latest new project really boosted my full potential in so many ways. Because now I am able to do what I want… …to welcome and live more abundance on all levels …more wealth …more choices how I want to structure my day …more own decisions, with who I am want to work with and how. …more passive income …more soul food and fulfillment

✨ All of that means more FREEDOM for me. Because I am free to decide and can make conscious actions that lead to a result that I want to happen.

✨ What means freedom for you? 🙂

✨ And if you want to know more about my freedom project, post FREEDOM in the comments below. I am happy to share more information about what’s working for me.

✨Happy day!!🤗

How to get out of the system?

You don’t need to have money to change something. You don’t need to be single and without kids to become free. These are the most complaints I heard when people tell me, they would love to change something, but they can’t. For me it’s easy. Because I am young, independent and kids-free. That might truly help, but is not an answer and result just to except and to do nothing.

If you really really want. And when you are ready. YOU CAN DO IT!

When we all do all small actions every day, we can change a lot as a union. Even scientists and economists realize that the situation in which we humans are right now, as a society, has come to a point where we need to change something.

We destroy our planet by industrial and economical contaminations, we listen and believe all the negative headlines and news in the media, politics are made by the big economic player and people are consciously tried to keep them busy. Busy from awakening, from seeing who we really are. For the big “economic gods” ( I call them gods because they are going to win more and more power on this earth and this is exactly what they want) we are just consumer or buyer. We have to earn more money to buy more stuff.

Is that what you are? Is that want you to want to be?

Office lady being scared because of too much paperwork to do

For me, the answer is definitely NO!

We can change if we want. We can do little steps each day, to become more conscious about our environment, about what we eat, what we buy, how we act and what we should believe and what not.

So here are just a few options listed, what you can do to get out of the system and even help to create this world to a big community that is connected again with our mother earth and all its beings:

1. Change food and nutrition

Stop eating what the media is telling you what’s good for you. Research where it comes from, explore what’s good for you.

Diet is not a diet to lose weight. It’s the choice to keep out things that are not good for us.

Some foods like refined sugar and wheat make not just fat, it has also almost no good nutrition inside and makes us addictive. You are just eating what people want that you eat. But would you eat is also when you were won up in another society or another age? Without media?

2. Try to spend and live with less money.

Money makes addictive. For the big economic gods. You are addicted to the system. The more you are able to live without it, the easier it will become for you to step out the system, because you are independent. But this means to let go of all your arrangements. If you need gadgets or tools, try to rent them or buy them used. There is already so much stuff on this planet. We live in a consumer world, in abundance. This means we are out of balance and should deal with the things that we already have. It should also protect us from all the trash we are producing. How can Mother Earth deal with all that trash? It’s already too much. It will affect us in a longterm way. We have all the contaminations already in our waters, foods, and air, that we need to survive. Do we want to kill ourselves?

3. Change your mind.

Meditate, practice Yoga or any other practice to reduce your full mind and thoughts to connect with your spirit and soul. It will automatically tell you why your here and where to go.

But you need to take it seriously and practice regularly to get out of the hamster wheel and see the difference of being just a small puppet in the theatre play or an individual that is connected to a bigger story – a whole society of beings that can live in peace and harmony. It’s still a lot of work to get there, but I see already a lot of positive developments in the last decades, and are optimistic can drive us to big actions. So let’s do it! 🙂

4. Exercise at least 30 minutes per day outside in nature

If possible outside in nature. Especially when you live in a city and spend most of your time on concrete walls.  It helps you to free your mind, to keep your body active and strong and helps to build and spread serotonin in your body. That makes you happy and alive and improves your way of positive thinking, which is necessary to actively change something.

5. Do something good every day

Do something good for a person, organization or environment without excepting anything else in return. Rewarding will come later.

Young attractive woman sitting cross legged on lakeside, meditating, practicing yoga Easy Pose, Sukhasana, asana for meditation, pranayama, breathing, back view, copy space

All good comes back. We are part of an equal system of interactions. In the Vedic, old Indian, philosophy its called “Karma”, the Andean indigenous people in Peru call it “Ayni”. You can spend money to an aid organization, volunteer for a social project, help a good friend or family member or even a person you don’t know but need the help. Or at least give somewhere a smile, who had a bad day. You will see after a while the return is tremendous and priceless.

By practicing awareness, consciousness, connection to your own true being, mother earth, and the spirit will help you to get out of a game which is already rigged.

How to increase your intuition?

10 tools to increase your intuition

Intuition is something that every one of us carries deep inside with us. There might be people who are talented in using his or her intuition, but in fact, intuition is what you can train and learn to use as a high-value skill. If we want to achieve something in life that makes us happy, we need the right vision.

To get a clear vision, we need to look in our hearts. Intuition is useful for decision-making, problem-solving, creativity increasing, receive messages as warnings, foretelling future events, spiritual guidance and to stay focused on your real goals.

With the following tools you can increase your intuition in just a few weeks:

  1. Meditate regularly. Try to meditate daily for at least 10-15 minutes. A clear and empty mind, helps you to get to the point, who you really are and what you really want.
  2. Practice silence. Listen and observe more. Talk and think less.
  3. Be present. Try always to be in the moment. Be aware of your situations, actions, and feelings.
  4. Dream interpretation. In dreams, we process a lot of unconscious thoughts and actions. To learn about your dreams and their meanings, can help to increase our intuition.
  5. Checking with your feelings. Learn more about your self and train your consciousness of your unconsciousness. Check minimum twice a day how do you feel right now. Inside of you, on your close or around yours. Write it down brackets or bullet points.
  6. Consume less TV, radio, entertainment internet content or music
  7. Have a regular morning and night ritual. Try to keep some rituals right after you wake up and right before bedtime. That keeps your thoughts and actions clear and open for bigger inspirations.
  8. Be playful, silly and creative. Whenever you need it, dance, laugh, smile, make a joke, doodle or do any other things that break your serious rational mind.
  9. Create a unity between your voice and what you’re talking, your thoughts and what your thinking and your actions, what you finally do with it.
  10. Practice and exercise yoga, dancing and stretching to balance your body, mind, and soul.

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that donors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” (Albert Einstein)

My experience with Ayahuasca

Colombia, located next to Peru and Brazil. It’s a country that is part of the biggest rainforest of the world, the amazon.

In the amazon all plants and animals are different and much bigger than everywhere else.
Did you also know that the Amazon has the most variety of plants and species of all forests and jungles?

That could be one reason why the indigenous people in this area are so connected to Mother Nature and use the plants for different manners. The Amazon has plenty of plants that works as a medicine for the body. The experts and herbal medicine mans, who are working with this herbs already for more than 5000 years, are called shamans.

One of their most famous ceremonies, which is prepared with a hallucinogenic wine, is called Ayahuasca.
Or also Yage. It’s made out of different plants from the Amazon.
This medicine gives you the possibility to connect to Mother Nature, to your true inner being, your spirit. It forces hallucinogen circumstances, but not like chemical drugs as LSD with movie sceneries where you you are just an actor without big influences.
It’s more that you have visions and can ask your spirit what you want to change, who you are and what your mission is on this planet.

As a spiritual and rebellious adventure lover I was playing already for more than one year with the idea of taking Ayahuasca. Firsts he plan was to do it in Costa Rica.
But in the end I hadn’t enough time. So when I’ve been already in Colombia, I decided I want to take Ayahuasca with original shamans in a country, where it comes from.

So I found the weekend retreat with Camino al Sol.Ayahuasca-retreat_V3

We met on a Friday afternoon in Medellin, to get a shuttle to the community farm in the mountains, one hour from there, I was together with 10 other spiritual seekers in the same age in the bus to our retreat.
In the bus one guy had a Ukulele, like me. So we started with a small music session in the bus.
The mood was already good and I felt very safe and was looking forward to it.
Of course before I was a little bit afraid of the unknown medicine and it’s different experiences and effects of people.
I had many doubts the days before.

But once I sat in the bus, I was sure it was the right decision.
When we came to the simple but beautiful small community with a traditional “boye”, the ceremony hut, we got a quick introduction and could choose a bank bed in the house.
There was no dinner in the night, because it’s said you shouldn’t eat something after 2pm anymore before a ceremony.
So we got some tea, fruit juice and water.

My first Ayahuasca session
At around 7pm we started the ceremony with a cleaning therapy. We should clean our body with a warm special herbal bath. While we were taking the bath as a shower bath, we should focus on our intention, what we want to achieve with Ayahuasca Ayahuasca-retreatand want to ask our spirit.
After the herbal bath we had to go into another room, where we got a fire treatment with candle light buy one of the shaman helpers. Always with the focus on our intention.

At around 8pm we started the ceremony with the circle of words, where the shaman chose a topic to talk, share and discuss in the circle. The topic of the first day was about all the bad energy and vibes right now on earth. How can we change the earth by producing and spreading more love on this planet to limited the evil side.

After one hour we got our sacred medicine, the Yage wine.
Each of us took a small cup of the wine and we sat down in our chairs in the circle around the warm fireside. But they also offered us to lie down on the ground, if we preferred.
I decided to sit in the chair, because I was already tired and afraid I would fall asleep.
The light turned of. Just a small fireside in the middle. It took around 15 minutes when the first of our group went out to vomit. Vomiting is a ritual of cleaning the body. I didn’t vomit at all.
Either my body didn’t want to let it go or I was already very clean by my healthy nutrition.

Anyway, while a lot of the group went out and one started even to cry right next to me, I didn’t feel anything than cold and tiered and queasy.

Suddenly after 1,5 hours, my stomach rumbled and after that the visions started. Very decent first, than stronger. But I saw everything always like a snippet on a screen in front of me, when I closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I was back in reality.

I asked two questions to my spirit. First one to guide me to the light and the second regarding some happening in my past. I had not the chance to experience a lot of visions of my past life. All visions that came up were far away from my personality and ego. It was about the truth of life, our planet earth, about ancient history and culture, about the universe, the existence and intelligence we are after all made of. Very abstract. But I felt always safe and still the director of my thoughts and conscious mind.

You just can’t choose the visions; you can just change your questions and intention, what you want to know.
The spirit will give you the answer.
Even though you might have bad experience or visions. It’s just a process and way to connect with Mother Nature and your own spirit. Everyone gets what he needs and can receive.

After the first round of Ayahuasca the shaman medicine men gave the men in our group a special treatment on their naked upper bodies.
Women should become one outside, but maybe they forgot it.
Then we started with the second round of Ayahuasca. Followed by 1,5 hours silence and darkness again.
The darkness and silence should help you to focus on your visions.
At around 4am they started to play music. It’s where you find back in community and harmony, enjoy your visions and constitution and connect to mother earth, your environment and the people around you.
It’s filling you with love and most of us are all happy.Ayahuasca-retreat_V4

In this very late part at the end, you can also lay down to sleep. Otherwise you sing and celebrate till the morning light, when the ceremony officially ends.

A day to recover
After a sunny morning and a breakfast most of us went to bed to sleep for a few hours. I couldn’t sleep very long. So I decided to go for a slow run or more active walk. I had the desire to connect more with the nature. The sun was brightly shining and suddenly I realized that the colors of the nature were so must stronger and intensive.
I went alone to connect 100 percent without distraction and had a enough to think about my visions from last night.

The day between the second Ayahuasca sessions was supposed to be the day of relaxation and discover from a long night. And you have the time to prepare yourself for the next session. So that’s what I eventually did.
Ayahuasca-retreat_V2Each of us became a few individual herbal treatments with massage, acupuncture and herbal preparations.

My second Ayahuasca session
The second Ayahuasca session happened almost after the same procedure. Just that the personal result might be completely different. And it was also for me.

I was preparing myself the previous two days to set the right intention, to ask the right questions, and especially to try to have a lighter vision.
I wanted to experience more love. I saw so much evil in the previous session that I asked my spirit now for more love. Just to know its there and I am still in believe this still can be a positive, light and lovely place in the future.

And what I got was a 4-hour-disco in my head with laugh, lots of colors and lovely warm feelings. In the beginning I started to ask questions to my spirit, but the figures I saw dancing in front of me where just smiling and said, “let’s dance”. Colorful tribals, funny animals, dancing figures were all in front of me. If I would compare my visions and feelings at that time it was maybe like on a LSD trip and MDMA together.

In the beginning I was a little bit disappointed, because I had such clear and strong visions in the first session, even I saw a lot of darkness, it was so real and true. And that’s what I was looking for with taking Ayahuasca. It was for me a spiritual experience; I was not there for taking any drugs.
But it must have had a reason. Maybe because I was asking for more light and love or maybe I was not ready for more visions. So I tried to let go and to enjoy this experience right now.

I smiled almost the whole time, I couldn’t really move or talk, but felt just like a baby in the stomach of a mother. Protected, warm, little light in this soft dark night. Until I fell asleep in my hammock, with a big smile and lots of love inside of me.

Namasté! Gracias mi espíritu! Gracias medicina!

The visions you may have are always different. No Ayahuasca session is equal.
It depends on how you are prepared for it and if you are ready for it. Ready to connect with your spirit, set your intentions and the followed the recommended diet in advance.

You might have no visions at all, because you are not really seeking for a spiritual experience.
Like this Asian guy living in America, who was working the whole time during this retreat and even in our holy Ayahuasca session, he was sitting next to me with his iPhone in the ceremony and was playing on his phone while he was waiting for his visions. Poor guy!
He always ask our shaman for more Ayahuasca, but he just smiled at him with the words, that’s not about the amount of taking Ayahuasca, it’s about how ready you are for the reality and your spirit. He definitely wasn’t.

Or you can have a personal experience like Sam.
He saw in his visions a meat factory where they where killing animals and produced grocery meat out of it.
After that intensive vision, he told me afterwards, he feels like he wants to become a vegetarian.
Wow, isnt it impressive that this medicine can change a person just in one night?
You can easily change your habits and values rapidly, depending on your intention and questions.

In general I can recommend Ayahuasca or other shamanic sessions next to meditation.
It brings you back to the source of the truth, of how you really are and connects you with the nature, earth and our universe.
But you need to be ready for it. Ready to drop your ego and enter a different level of being.

If we are not trying to understand the endless universe where we live in, we might miss a great opportunity.

Every new year is a new chance to live every single moment

It’s been a long time ago, I have been writing something here on this blog.
Honestly, I am struggling with the idea of what to do and where to go.
Actually, it is like always. Haha!
But I want to continue. One of my goals for next year.

2015-11-22 08.28.38
Every day is a Sunday in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

This year has been amazing. I met wonderful places, like on Bali or Santa Teresa and Nosara in Costa Rica. But also Tarifa in South Spain was amazing. And I met a lot of beautiful people, who entered my heart, and from whom I learned a lot about life, business and about myself.
Every single person was my teacher on my path through life.

I made big steps in my personal growth and could broaden up my mind even beyond my horizon, where I thought there must be the horizon. But learning and experiencing is endless.

My barrio in Santa Marta, local lifestyle

I am writing to you right now from my little apartment in Santa Marta in Colombia, sitting in my hammock, with the view over the city.

I was here primarily to volunteer for an organization, which is called Mariposa Amarilla,  supporting street kids in this area. I decided to use the time, while everyone is celebrating Christmas with there beloved ones, to share my love with those who need it the most.

On Christmas Eve I spent time

2015-12-21 17.18.09
Christmas decoration in Santa Marta Beach, Colombia

with the local family where I stay. It’s a small apartment I booked via Airbnb. I live in a barrio (district) where just locals live. No tourists here. This is the best way to learn and understand the culture and people, who are living here.

When I reflect the last year, I can just see beautiful moments and experiences. Of course, there have been also negative moments, but this is a part of life. And honestly, most of the time they just kicking you even deeper in reality, and you will feel that you are alive.

My worst problems the last months have been electronic problems. 2 laptops crashed and my phone is since days locked by a Colombian mobile provider so that I can’t use it. That sucks, but it’s just a material problem.

2015-12-25 11.56.53
Tanganga Beach, Colombia

But since I decided, to live a nomad lifestyle reduced my guts to a minimum and nowadays have fewer things and responsibilities – I feel richer than ever before. Because once you have nothing, you can do everything.
You can’t lose a lot and you can act spontaneously.

What I learned this year, is that you can open the door to another world, that welcome you with open arms, a world that’s so diverse and intensive, If you allow yourself to let go, let go from beliefs, habits and too many expectations. The world is constantly moving and changing. So stop to collect things, save, live secure, and build up a future, which you won’t able to keep it. Live right now. In this and every single moment, expect changes and be even open to new things that come along. This is part of the game. If you can handle it, you can reach the next levels.

And they are so much fun!

I am already looking forward to. Just the next 2 month will be amazing for me, with many new experiences.

The goal for next year: see more sunsets at the ocean

I am going to have my first tattoo. On my ankle. Finally, my roommate and host in Bogota inspired me to do it now.

I will join a sacred medicine retreat with the elders and Sharman’s. One part will be of course Ayahuasca. I am a little bit scared to take this medicine, what it’s called here in this area. But I am going to prepare myself and think I am ready now – especially from a spiritual perspective.

Then I will do an excursion to the Amazon and fly to Brazil to celebrate Carnival in Rio. Raised in the Carnival city Cologne, participating on the biggest Carnival parties in the world, has been always a dream for me since I am a young girl.2015-11-19 16.39.23

Afterward surfing again in Pipa! 🙂 I never thought that you could get so addictive with surfing.
But it’s true.

I will keep you updated about all my experiences.

I wish everyone a good start of a new year, and a new chapter to change or improve yourself. Open your eyes, ears, heart, and mind and live every moment…wherever you are!

My favorite place in the world: the beach!

Feliz Navidad – Love and happiness to all of you

Christmas time is a time to share your love with your friends and family. But also a very spiritual time. Even when you are not religious, it’s good to look inward and find your inner peace.
Maybe you want to visualize and use my favorite ways to review:
  • Look back on what you all created in the past year and with whom you shared you life.
  • Thank all the people who helped you, who where there, when you needed them or just spend time with you.
  • Forgive yourself for all the actions, which your are not proud of and which you might like to change, if you could. For any reason that happened and you will learn from it.
  • Thank yourself for all the good actions you did in the past last year – go through it. What was it, that made you happy? How did you feel afterwards?
  • And at least thank mother nature to have this big opportunity to be here and have the chance to explore this life right now on this beautiful planet.
I am going to do the same. But instead of praying in the church, I will go for a morning meditation to my beloved ocean, here in Mexico.
I want to share all my love and gratitude to mother nature.
Today I am still enjoying my own Christmas- or “end-of-the-year-bonus”-present, which is staying for a few days in a seashell, my dream house Casa Caracol on Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
But tomorrow I will fly back home to Germany and looking forward to spend my time with my family and friends.
I wish you a merry Christmas, lots of love, light and happiness.
Stay aware and keep on going positiv through your life.
Buchos besos!!

Stopover in Istanbul

Lost at the airport, I met this both nice guys, Douglas and Mübi, who had to take the same flight to Bodrum. All from Germany, we took care of each other and spent the time together while we were waiting for the flight.
We had some interesting conversations about traveling, hard work in and now burnt out people, food, and business.
People asked me, when I travel if I don’t feel lonely sometimes.
No, you are almost never alone.
I share my moments always with people around me.

A lot of friends asked me for my tour dates. So I decided to put them on a list, where you can check, where I am right now or probably where you want to join in and meet somewhere.

Sounds like a musician who is traveling to his gigs. 😀

Haha! No, sorry. Thats not what I am…

I am just working and travelling. But enjoy life, work on the beach, meet new people and places and an amazing abundance of new experiences.

If you close to someplace contact me. Maybe we can meet there.

Hugs & love

Mantra of the week

Live from the beach. My mantra of the week:

Face the sun.
Nap in a hammock.
Breathe salty air.
Go with he flow.
Drift.
Soften into warm sand.
Sway like coconut palm.
Float on a balmy breeze.
Surrender to the shore.
Let go.
Unwind.
Relax.
